Jubilee nonsense

Human was early. Turned up looking like she ought to be back in bed. I came in and got dressed for riding along with Robs and Frank. Hurrah out with the boys.
The village has been taken over with bunting, flags and balloons. Even I didn't escape, human had even put ribbons in my tail. I felt a right plonker neither of the boys had been decorated. Non of us bothered about all the flappy flaggy things and stuff in the village as we set off on our adventure.
Over the road, past the space centre and beyond. We went on a bridlepath that I haven't been on since I don't know when. Great I thought we usually have a bit of a canter here.
Through a gate, up a hill, past some shooters, under a bridge, through some very deep puddles and round a corner.
Soon enough we turned round. Frank was really up for it, he looked like he just wanted to go go go.
On the way home Robs went off on his own as he likes to go fast up that hill, Frank and I stayed to do the gate. Frank wanted to go go go and TW said he could. Oh my goodness what's up with you Frank? Oi you dropped something, I think thats TW you left on the ground. Come back.............
TW said something about a broken leg, she was just being overdramatic. Human jumped off and TW got up. Her hat had a nice grass stain on it where her head had hit the ground. Just as well it was her hat and not her head.
We walked on for what seemed ages then met a man who had caught Frank.
TW got back on, human couldn't get on as my saddle kept slipping, so she walked on a bit until we came to something she could stand on.
Robs had gone on back to the yard ahead. I caught up with Frank and we walked back together.
When we got back to the yard Robs human had got the breakfast on. Frank and I went in our rooms for our breakfast and the rain started.
When it was time to go to my field oh my goodness whatever is that........morris dancers down the road.....good grief is there no end to the embarrassment some humans will put themselves though. Crikey even a Dalek and a Tardis in the village.
I was relieved to get back to the normality of my field.

  2. How wonderful that you got to show off your ribbons for the Queen. Very glad TW wasn't injured. She doesn't wear a helmet?

    1. Yes she wears a helmet. Replacement one now bought. It's very unusual and very frowned upon in UK to see riders without helmets.
