The day started well. Human was later than usual but that was ok as we were going out with Rosie and NRH. I got my field cleaned and human moved the posts again.
It was a beautiful warm sunny day. Human didn't even need a rug on, she was there in just her teeshirt. A bit different from Sunday.
I came in and got pampered. Brushed to within an inch of my life. Mane replaited. Hooflets sorted. I had a munch on some hay in my room while we waited for NRH. Whilst waiting TW arrived and decided to bring in and ride out with us.
The decision was made to go across the busy main road, up to the space centre and beyond.
Off we all set. Frank being the big man in front. Me at the back.
We went into a field and out again. Trendy bendy. Past the space centre. It's all stoney there and I don't like it much but it wasn't too bad. Frank had a wee moment at some shiney stuff. I think he was just winding up TW. Me and Rose didn't bother about stupid shiney stuff.
On we went. Round the back of the cemetery. Oh oh. Rosie, what the hell is up with you girl? She was running backwards, doing mini rears even doing some stunning sideways dressage movements. At this point my human decides to have a meltdown. She gets it into her stupid head that Rose is going to tank off. Rose doesn't. NRH gets off. Rose walks nicely until NRH gets back on. More backwards, sideways, mini rears. More human meltdown. NRH gets off. Off, on, off, on, off, on. Rose walks ok with NRH on for a while then has another wee paddy. Human has another meltdown.
Human is hanging onto those reins making me very uncomfortable. Now I know she is only doing it as she is tense but for god's sake human give over. I kept snatching back the reins. Human kept grabbing them again. NRH is still doing the on, off routine.
How we all made it back in one peice I have no idea. Only thanks to me and Frank. Thankgoodness some of us have some sense.
Human needs to stop her head from doing the "what if" thing. She ought to read back through this blog. We have been out with horses doing far worse things than Rose did today. Met some really scary things and survived. It never used to bother her.
