Friday 3rd February

Dogs, dogs and more dogs

Human was early again today. She was lazy as well but that is nothing new. Do you know she didn't even bother to clean my field. Disgusting behaviour if you ask me.
I came in with her and Franks human brought Rose in. Frank and that Bracken were already in their rooms. Frank and I got dressed to go out with the humans. Now I have a complaint about that.
There I was in my room munching away on my hay when human very rudely comes into my room and puts my saddle on. She got cross because I wouldn't lift my head and stop eating while she did all the straps and buckles up. EXCUSE ME...... I am only trying to stop myself from starving here. Very rude. Do you think she would stop mid meal to go to work? I don't think so.
After getting cross with me I reluctanly leave my room and human plonks herself on board. Off we set. I was first but Frank wasn't impressed with that and rushed to overtake me. Silly boy. Still if that makes him feel all important and special it's ok with me. Having his bum to look at while we are going along is merely a bonus hehe.
We went round the village then the silly humans missed the turning to the yard and instead of turning round they kept us going. We went round by GR's house..... he is the man who owns the land where we live. Oh heck I felt human tense up and start to panic. Two blooming great lab dogs bearing down on us no leads on. I kept my head and just kept going. Phew panic over human I will look after you.
Back to the village and again they missed the turning to the yard. Stupid humans. I tried to tell human but she wouldn't listen. We went down Donkey Lane...... hehe I had to think of Bracken after the comment last week. Turned round at the end. I think the humans realised they had missed the turning as they went back the way we had come to the yard. Human claims she wanted to go that way. Yeah right if you say so human.
Just got back on the yard when En the huge Italian Spinone came flying round the corner and barked at Frank. Noooooooooooo shouts human in a panic. He didn't come anywhere near us thank goodness.
Human slithered and plopped her way off my back and I went to my room to finish the hay I had been so rudely interupted whilst eating. Human gave me some breakfast too which was only as it should have been as I looked after her so well.
Back to my field. Wow wonders never cease she only put me some hay out. Blimey what was up with human. She put some more in a blue thing and left it by Rosies field. She said if we asked nicely NRH would put it over the fence for me later when she comes up.
Off goes human with Franks human. They went off to visit Bess who is a rather.....actually very....large Fell pony. She lives with the sister of Franks human. My human was very taken with her. There was a teeny tiny stallion in the field next to Bess. Human said he was soooooo cute.
What a shame we don't have any transport or we could all go visit Bess and take our humans out. The sister of Franks human is called Zoe. How odd giving a horse name to a human.
