I love my human

Lots has happened since I last posted. Human went away without me to Wales of all places. Apparently Wales didn't disappoint ..... yes it rained. 

Her friend SWMBO who Zoe dislikes came to see to our every need. I missed my human though. I've spent the last 5yrs training my human just the way I like her so it wasn't very nice to have another human SWMBO ( SheWhoMustBeObeyed)  come to see to us. She did an ok job. We got everything important sorted. Not the same though. 

So when human returned I didn't leave her alone. Normally I'm first in the new grass. Nope not this time, I left Monkey stuffing his face while I clung on to my human like a limpet. I love my human.

I was excellently behaved when she asked me to take her for a plod. I just wanted her to know how much I missed her. I think she got the message. 

Zoe got kicked by Monkey. She just wasn't quick enough to get out of his way. Human went into panic mode as she always does. Zoe wasn't lame but was a wee bit trippy. The flies were awful settling on the injury. So out come the lotions and potions. The next day it was hard to see the site of the injury. Amazing recovery. We all had to come in that day as Tom hoofy and his sidekick the lovely James had come to see to out hooflets.. Our hooves were not looking great. All this hot dry weather hasn't done our hooves any good. Lots of chips and cracks. All sorted now.

The decision has been made. And a sad one it is too. Zoe is to retire at the end of October. She isn't always having a great day. On her good days she is like she's always been, on her not so good days she just stands around looking depressed. She is losing weight. Looking very lean so that means human can go into panic mode as winter is fast approaching. Zoe tells human clearly on days she's not so good by not letting human catch her. So I am going to be the only ridden horse. I get human all to myself. Good for me, not so good for Zoe although spending all day every day eating, sleeping and just chilling out sounds a pretty good way to be.
