Human arrived super early today. Oh yes that's nice she had my breakfast with her. Even though the sun in shining and there is no sign of rain ..... yet.... she didn't want to ride. More avoidance methinks.
She did spend some time sorting out jobs that need doing in my field. She chopped down lots of nettles, clivers and garlic mallow things. Yum I like salad.
Human dug up some of those horrid poisonous planty things that keep growing my my field. There are loads popping up in the bit of field I am not eating from. Human says they can wait for a short while. I don't like them anyway, they are yuck.

ReplyDeletethe germans have a saying, "the weekend fell into the water" meaning it didn't work out, it wasn't a weekend at all, i think. mostly, it was last weekend, when it rained the entire time so i couldn't mow our profuse lawn. the neighbors must think we're total slackers, but we work fulltime and only have saturday to mow. and guess what - this weekend, same thing. it will fall into the water (pun!). i wonder if we have a similar saying in english?
Ragwort Lytha. Do you get it in Germany? It's everywhere here and a full time job to keep on top of it.
