Human was back to her early time today. I was very impressed as she was all togged up proper like. She filled my water and cleaned the field. We walked to the yard together.
Straight away she started with the brushing. Oh yes please more of that, don't stop. But she did. Human started to get me dressed and was just putting on my bridle when we heard TW calling. There was a problem with one of the other horses, human was needed to help.....quick. Problem sorted back came human still in best boots and coat looking like a proper rider. She said it makes her feel like a rider and hoped it would remind her that yes she is a real rider even if she is a rather wimpy rider just now.
She scrambled on and into the school we went. As TW was driving off human went to wave bye. The second humans hand came off the reins to wave goodbye that blooming Archie launched himself at the fence. I wasn't even aware he was out and I flew sideways. Amazingly apart from a few rude words it didn't seem to un-nerve human too much.
We continued our trendy bendy stuff and stop, start stuff and our sideways wiggles. Human then suggested we went out for a wander round the village. She seemed ok today for the 1st time in I don't know how long. Once round the village and it was back for a munch in my room. Frank and that Bracken were in their rooms too.
There I was merrily munching when Rosie came into her room with the lovely young human who I took out on Monday. She asked me if I would mind taking her out with Rose again today. Ok, I don't mind.
Off went my human while I was getting dressed for the 2nd time. We had a wonderful time. This lovely young human even let me canter with Rose. Yeehaa moment. It was great not having a wimpy old bat on board, made me feel quite young again. It's very hard work having to look after my human all the time and watch out for all the things that might scare her. I love taking care of her but it was nice to just relax and enjoy myself for a bit.
When I got back I had my breakfast......yes it was extremely late today AND no carrot OR salad. Sort that out human it's not acceptable.
Rose and I wandered back to our fields with the humans for a nice rest and an even nicer munch. Hard work today but such fun. I think one of the best bits was seeing just a glimpse of my old human. Maybe she needs to wear the magic boots and coat more often.
How lovely Zoe, glad to hear you were out twice. If I rode you (!) would you look after me? I have only been on a horse once and that was way way bak when I was a little bitty girl, but the horse kicked its hind legs out and I had to get off screaming. I have never been on a horse since :-(. But I do like horses, :-)
ReplyDeleteYes Ann I would look after you. I like taking humans for their first ride I am good at making humans feel safe. Even The Stallion has had a ride on me and he used to be really scared of horses.
