Barefoot

Now we have all heard about barefoot horses. I am one myself at the moment. However in the village today we found evidence of barefoot humans. Wow. I wonder if all the humans who keep their horses barefoot will join the barefoot revolution? Proof it can be done.

Human was her normal early self again. Bale of hay in the barrow for my hay reserves outside my field. A couple of sections of hay.....not for me oh no....for Frank and that Bracken. Human didn't have my breakfast either. Oh dear. This usually is a sign that I am going to have to work today. I suppose it couldn't last. I was surprised though as my field was still all snowy which means the roads will be icy (and slippy) and the school will be frozen. Wondering where I am going to take human I joined her in the slightly slippy walk to the yard.
Into my room. Ah that's where my breakfast is, some hay too. Nice touch human. Human clears the snow from some of the yard, but still doesn't come and get me with my stuff for riding. Odd I thought. ......... ok, so where is human off to now? Leaving me in my room she disappears off the yard. Was gone what seemed like ages. It's ok she had just gone to clean my field, sort the water and check on Rose. I knew it was too good to be true. As soon as she returns out comes that horrid weigh tape...grr.
You have seen how much I get to eat on my starvation diet haven't you?  The field is frozen and we had more white stuff last night. This is the hay I get. Not much for a big girl like me is it? Keeping warm needs calories human.
So how much weight have I lost this week given the meagre amounts of food I get, I'm living out unrugged with only natural shelter and it's been really cold? White stuff on the ground all week.
Can you guess?
