Then we walked in to the yard through the village together.
I got dressed and off we set. It was rather windy today and we headed off to the bridlepath again.
Oh is that a dog on it's own up there? Yep sure is. I wonder where it's humans are. No sign of any humans. The dog hid itself in the hedges and we walked past it. No sign anywhere of any humans.
Ah past the bench and we met two men who appeared to be looking for something. A dog perhaps?
"It's up there digging around in fox earths" said human.
We went towards the next village. A quiet plod says human. Oooooh great, there are plenty of overhanging hawthorne bushes along there. A quick snack en route methinks.
We could see two girls on bicycles heading towards us.....no room for both of us so I stood nicely until they had gone by. They kindly got off their bikes in case they upset me. Haha as if.
Ah that is your alarm I do believe human. Clever to set it to remind us we need to get back for Mrs Saddle lady.
We turned round and headed for home, grabbing a bite of hawthorne or two on the way. At the top of the hill human let me stop for a few minutes to have some salad before carrying on our way home.
When we got back I went in the school for a bit while Mrs Saddle lady put new girth straps on my saddle.
Then TW turned up, Frank and Tom had their saddles adjusted to make them comfortable.
Back to my field I went.
Goodness is that the time human? I can't remember the last time you were here this late.

It's nice that the humans you encountered were so polite. And that the dog wasn't interested in you. That's a very good thing.
ReplyDeleteMmmm we love hawthorne too, and the blossom makes Dragon's mane look pretty!
